One-of-a-kind painting juxtaposing natural elements of Southern California within domestic objects. Using an abstract palm pattern in the background, I used the idea of a vase as a visual metaphor to spotlight the Salton Sea, with a Mexican fan palm planted in the vase. Inspired by a trip to California in 2024, this piece tells a story of that trip and the landscape through elements iconic to the region.
